꣑୧ What happens when class 1A finds out about you— Katsuki Bakugo’s secret girlfriend that no one knew about

Today was the one day class 1A had the whole day off, not a single class all day since most of them passed the Hero License Exam. The class well mostly Mina and Uraraka planned a whole day trip to go to the mall and the park, mostly everyone was going besides the one and only Katsuki Bakugo.

Not only was he disappointed after he failed the test, but he hadn’t seen his girlfriend in weeks because of training. So today was his day off to spend with you and only you.

“Come on Bakubro the whole class is going it’s gonna be so manly” Kirishima exclaims his arm slinging around Bakugo’s shoulder, trying to convince the angry blonde to come with them today. Bakugo shoves him off growling something no one could understand under his breath.

The whole class watches as the explosive boy walks out the door to leave, slamming it on his way out. Kirishima scratches the back of his neck “Well guess we should leave soon guys” he says after a few seconds of awkward silence.

You stand waiting at the gates of UA for your boyfriend until a pair of arms circle around your waist “Hey” Bakugo grumbles his head falling to your neck.

A smile adorns your lips “Hi baby” you whisper moving your head to the right and kissing his cheek. He gets up slightly and starts leading you down the street his arm around your waist. You tilt you head looking up at him for a moment the fall breeze flowing around you both “Soooo where we going baby?” you ask him while admiring his features.

His eyes turn to look at you “I was thinking we could go to my house, the hag wants us over or something” he scoffs before continuing “We could watch some movies in my room, then go to the park I don’t know” he mumbles his eyes refusing to make eye contact with you.

The Katsuki Bakugo being romantic was not something you see everyday but it was sweet so you choose not to tease him about it. You smile turning away from him to watch some birds fly with one another “That sweet Suki, I’m excited I miss your mom” you tell him your eyes not looking at him but you feel how he squeezes you closer to him.

The walk to his house went by quickly and soon enough the two of you were eating lunch with his parents. Bakugo was being well Bakugo and arguing over everything with his mom, even going as far to argue over how spicy the food was. You couldn’t help yourself but laugh at the two of them it was like a copy paste of one another.

After lunch both you and Bakugo went up to his room to watch some new scary move that came out. That didn’t last long because your attention span was not strong enough to just focus on the movie in-front of you both.

Climbing on top of the blonde boy you straddle his waist blocking his view of the movie. Your hands come up to hold his shoulders “M bored Suki, entertain me” you whine your head falling into his neck leaving small light kisses all over. He groans his head falling back into the pillows to give you more access.

“Needy little thing aren’t you” he says his hands grabbing to hold your hips pulling you impossibly closer to him. You bite down on his neck lightly causing him to groan once more. The heat between your bodies grows as you kiss down his neck pulling down his shirt to reach more places in his neck.

His hand slides into your hair and pulls you back hard, but not enough to hurt you for real “Not the time baby, my parents are in the next room” he tells you slightly out of breathe.

You pout “Fine but that doesn’t mean I can’t kiss you” he scoffs at your words shaking his head. Before he can speak your lips are on his hungrily. He kisses back almost immediately his hands squeezing your hips, one gliding up your body to hold your neck. His lips fit yours perfectly like they were made just specifically for you.

The two of you made out for almost a hour just kissing each other, everywhere you could before getting tired. The two of you ended up falling asleep tired from the food, the movie and the neediness between you two..

Hours pass before Bakugo wakes up rubbing his eyes before looking down at you on his chest. He smiles, a real smile he doesn’t show people his hand coming to rub your back slowly waking you up from your slumber. He waited a few minutes patiently before getting tired of waiting and got up with you in his arms. Looking down at you for a moment he laughs throwing you down on the bed watching as you gasp landing down on your stomach.

“WHAT THE HELL?” You squeal staring wide eyed at the boy who was holding himself up by the wall laughing at you. Groaning you throw a pillow at him before getting up and fixing your clothes that you fell asleep in. Still laughing Bakugo throws your shoes towards you, catching them with a glare on your face you growl “Your mean ya know that Bakugo” his laughter stops immediately at the use of his last name coming out of your mouth.

Katsuki walks towards you slowly “The hell did you just call ya damn lazy nerd” he growls out at you. He stops right in front of you his arms crossed across his chest “Huh you gonna speak on you gone mute?” he snaps.

You look up at him “Sorry I ment bitch” you blurt out before your eyes widen. Before he can even comprehend what you just said you’re running out the door shoes in hand yelling a quirk bye to his parents before rushing out the door. He chases you, hot on your heel as you run towards the park near his house.

Bakugo jumps on you, taking you both to ground him on top of you “Think you can run away? I’m gonna be the number one hero you can’t out run me even in your dreams” he growls his faces inches away from you. Air catches in your throat as you breathe heavily looking up at your boyfriend with a smile on your face.

Grabbing his face with your hands you laugh “I love getting you all angry” you admit to him as he gets off you, holding out a hand to pull you up.

“Tch I could never be mad at you-“ his words stop as he sees his class sitting on benched staring at you two wide eyed, mouths agape.

You follow his eyes to see the class and you happily walk away from him to go rush up to Mins. She squeaks hugging your tightly “I MISSED YOU BOO” she yells spinning you around as Bakugo walks over confused to see you hugging some extra in his class.

Kirishima looks at the blonde smirking “So this is why you didn’t wanna hangout with us” he laughs as Denkis eyes nearly bulge out of his head “HOW THE HELL DID YOU PULL A GIRL THIS BEAUTIFUL” he shrieks. You pull away from Mina and walk towards your boyfriend to go hug his arm.

He looks at you then at Mina then back at you “Why the hell you hugging Pinky?” he asks jealousy bubbling in his chest. He didn’t want anyone but him to be touching you.

“Oh me and Mina met when I was waiting for you outside of school a while ago, she said I had pretty eyes and I liked her hair and we started to hangout and texting sometimes we became friends” You tell him happily as Mina nods her head “Don’t worry I didn’t tell anyone you guys were together- well the class all knows now anyways” she says giggling.

Bakugo groans and walks away going back home as you let go of his arm. You smile sheepishly at his classmates “Nice meeting you all hopefully I can again soon— bye Mina” you say smiling before turning spring and running to catch up with Katsuki.

The class all looks at the two of you leaving in shock, especially when Bakugo wraps his arm around your shoulders pulling you closer to him.

“That’s- how- are you kidding me! No far Bakugo gets a girl that nice and pretty and that body oh god that-“ Before Mineta can finish his sentence Mina slaps the back of his head “Shut up” she tells him.

The next day the entire class couldn’t stop talking about you.

Tsuyu hosted a sleep over at her room and all of Class 3-A girls are invited.  Obviously, a sleep over won't be complete without fluffy cushions, games, gossips and a special mention of Yaoyorozu's tea.

You guys have been playing truth or dare for a while, it's just you and Uraraka that hasn't got their turns which makes you uneasy. You honestly don't know what Mina would ask you to do and you've already seen the things the girls did. One thing's for sure, this woman is scary.

"So...... Izuku right?" Mina asked as she turned to Uraraka who's face is now turning bright red.

"I don't like where this is going" Uraraka replied, trying to hide her flushed face in the palm of her hands, which activated her quirk, causing her to float around the room.

Mina giggled a little maniacally at Ochaco's words. In her head, she's thinking of all the things she would have her do, but you know she won't torment the poor girl that much. The pink haired removed "truth" as a choice because according to her, that's no fun at all. The girls agreed, including you, which you kind of regret now.

"So the dare is--" she paused, thinking for a second. "You need to send Midoriya a selfie. You can't tell him it's for a dare tho" this made Uraraka groan as she sat back beside Jirou. 

"Oh! You need to ask his opinion about your new necklace as well" Hagakure added and Yaoyorozu agreed. The girls gave each other a high five while Uraraka let out a defeated sigh.

She opened her front camera and positioned the phone above her head, tugging on the chain slightly. She showed us the picture before sending it to Izuku. The picture was rather suggestive in your opinion; the angle made her necklace pop up, but the top part of her bossom is visible in the background, it didn't help that her face is a little red in the photo as well.  

Uraraka:    *Sent a photo* 

                   Deku-kun, what do you think of new my necklace?

"Now we wait" Mina cheerfully said and turned to you "You've been awfully quiet y/n" you can't help but to notice that grin plastered on her face and you know damn well she's up to no good.

"Let's get this over with" you told her with a sigh. You just wanted to quickly finish whatever suffering she's going to put you through.

Jirou pulled out her phone, searched for something before handing it to Mina. While they were busy discussing something, you nervously turned to Momo who's currently adjusting the eyeglasses he took from Iida "Can I back out?"  but she just gave you a cheeky smile and a pat on the shoulder. "Goodluck" 

Momo was the first one to be dared; her dare was to walk up to Iida, grab his glasses, wear it in front of him and walk away without saying anything. Tsuyu was dared to sit on Shoji's lap for 20 minutes. Hagakure had to confess on her long time crush, Ojiro, and lastly, Jirou was dared to shower Denki with praises for 10 minutes straight. Mina, on the other hand, was dared to kiss Bakugo on the cheeks, and you can already guess what happened next.                                                         

A phone was shoved into your line of sight. "You need to do this" Mina said while she pointed at the phone with a video playing. You look at her horrified but she just laughed at your face. 

"But with who?" Tsuyu asked.

"Todoroki" Uraraka grinned. 

"Yep. Definitely Todoroki." Jirou crossed her arms and nodded while her eyes are closed. 

You looked at them confused.  Although you do have a  crush on Shoto, you have never told anyone about it nor show even a slight interest at him. You can feel your face heat up at the sudden realization that your friends knows about your little crush on him all along. 

You sighed in defeat and just accepted the dare. What can possibly go wrong, right?

"We'll be watching" Mina winked at you as you guys marched towards the common area where the boys are hanging out. The girls stopped by the stairs, peeking a little. You made your way towards the couch where Kirishima and Shoto are sitting.  

"Yo, y/n" Kiri greeted you and you just replied with a nod.

You sat beside Shoto who was munching on a chocolate chip cookie. He offered you a piece which you happily took and ate beside him. 

"Oh this is good! Who made this?" you asked.

"I made it" Shoto turned to you. "I asked Kirishima and Bakugo to teach me" you nodded and quickly look away. You quietly scanned the whole room; Kiri and Shoto are minding their own business eating the cookies Shoto made, the Baku-squad are playing a video game while Izuku and the others are playing a monopoly game, though Izuku isn't really playing, he's just staring at the screen of his phone, looking very red. 

You can't help but to chuckle to yourself. You quickly glanced towards the girls and Mina mouthed "now". Unbeknownst to you, Kiri was also looking at the girls direction, when your eyes landed on him, he gave you a confused look and you just replied with an apologetic look. His mouth turned into a circle when realization hits him.

'A game huh' he mouthed and you answered with a nod.

"Shoto" you turned to him.

"Yes?" 

"Can we--" here goes nothing "make...love?" You can see Kirishima choke on his cookie in your peripheral vision.

"Make love?" he asked, confused. 

You nodded. You can feel your face heat up. You looked away, not wanting to see the look on Shoto's face, you mentally wished that the couch would swallow you up because of the embarassment you feel.

You don't know what Shoto's response will be, but knowing him, you're sure he'll be nice at least. You mentally braced yourself for a rejection you're about to face. Or so you thought.

"Sure, but do we even have the ingredients for that?" 

"What?" You and Kirishima said in unison. 

Shoto looked at you two, confusion visible on his face. 

"This is the first time I've heard about that dish" he stated. Kirishima snorted and finally let out the laugh he's been holding for so long, while you bit your inner cheek to hold back yours. Shoto on the other hand, ignored the red head and called Bakugo instead.

"Bakugo, can you send me the ingredients for love?" he asked as he pulled out his phone and started searching for the dish called love. 

"What the fuck, Icy-Hot?!" Bakugo yelled, his eyes landed on Shoto, his face looking like he just heard the stupidest thing in the world. This took the attention of your other classmates as well.

His gaze left his phone, he quickly looked at you then at Bakugo "Y/n said they wanted to make lov-" you hurriedly jumped from your seat to cover Shoto's mouth. 

"Ah! Oh my gosh don't mind him! It's a dare!" You half shouted.  Your classmates just laughed at you, you can feel your face heat up due to embarrassment. 

'Screw you Mina' you thought to yourself.

"Didn't know you're freaky like that y/n" Denki teased you. The others gave you a teasing look as well.

"It's a dare!" You shouted in horror. 

"Sure, if you say so" he and the others laughed and get back to playing again. Kirishima, who's laughing with the others, stood up and bid farewell to the both of you. "I'll leave you guys to your own business" he said with a wink. 

You just sighed. You're pretty sure all of your classmates will be teasing you for the next few days. 

"Y/n" Shoto mumbled under your hand. 

You quickly removed your hand from his mouth and apologized. "Sorry" you said awkwardly as you sat back on your spot again.

He just hummed. Silence took over the both of you. You quietly glanced towards the stairs and the girls are nowhere to be seen. They must've gone back to Tsuyu's room. You contemplated whether to go back to her room or not. 

You let your eyes wander and it stopped at his phone, a search tab was open and it was an article about "make love". You turned to face Shoto, you opened your mouth to explain about the dare, but before you can say something, he pulled you by the collar of your shirt and gave you a peck on the lips. 

You stared at him, wide eyed.

"I can't exactly give you what you want right now but I'm pretty sure a kiss will suffice?" he said.

"Wha-" he kissed you again. This time it was longer, until it was interrupted when a throw pillow hit the back of his head. 

"Get a room you fucking dumbasses!!" it was Bakugo. 

Great.

You gave him a middle finger and was about to talk back when Shoto pulled you away from the scene and lead you towards the second floor. 

"Where are we going?" you asked.

"Getting a room" he opened the door to his room and shoved you inside.

"Looks like I'm gonna have to give you what you want after all" he smiled at you and locked the door.

Mina's small dormitory was filled with laughter and chatter as the girls gathered for their long-awaited girls' night. Pillows and blankets were strewn everywhere, snacks covered the teens desk and bed, and the scent of popcorn lingered in the air.

Mina was busy applying glittery nail polish to Jirou’s nails, while you sat cross-legged on the floor, trying to focus on the card game you and Uraraka were playing.

Mina, never one to shy away from a juicy topic, suddenly broke the relative calm. “Okay, ladies, let’s spill some tea. Who here has a crush?”

Jirou groaned. “Why do you always ask stuff like this?” “Because it’s fun!” Mina said, winking. “C’mon, spill!”

“I’m too busy focusing on my hero training to think about that,” Tsuyu said matter-of-factly, sipping her juice.

“Same,” Uraraka said, but the way she avoided eye contact suggested otherwise. Hagakure elbows her side playfully making the girls face shine red.Mina glances at the girl infront of her who was drying her nails with a playful look.

"I see the way you look at Kaminari and it's no secret the way he feels." The purple haired girl's face flushes a deep shade of red at Mina's implications.

"I don't know what your talking about." Jirou defends herself weakly making the other girls in the room playfully "oooohhhh". Jirou shove Mina's face away when the pink girl begins to make a kiss face.

"I think you guy's would be cute, and Kaminari's nice. When he's not hanging with Mineta." You visibly shake at the boys name and simultaneously make the other girl cringe. Hagakure going as far as pretending to throw up.

"Oh you can't talk y/n, what do you know about relationships?" Jirou lightheartedly snaps but her red ears give away how flustered she really is. You set your cards down and raised an eyebrow. “Well, smart guy, I actually—”

“What?” Mina’s eyes lock on you, they sparkle with anticipation. “I can’t say,” you mumbled quicklycatching yourself, feeling your face heat up.

“What!?” Uraraka gasped, nearly knocking over her drink. Jirou leaned forward, intrigued now.

“Wait, wait, wait. Are you saying there’s something to say?”You bit your lip, debating whether or not to come clean. Finally, you sighed, knowing there was no way out.

“Fine. Katsuki and I are dating.” The room went silent.All at once, the girls erupted. “You and Bakugo are what?!” Mina practically screamed, dropping the nail polish.

“We have been for three months,” you said quickly, bracing yourself for the inevitable chaos.“Three months?!” Mina’s voice rose an octave. “And you didn’t tell us?!”

Momo's jaw dropped. “Wait, Bakugo? Like our Bakugo? Explosive, angry Bakugo?”"He’s not as scary as everyone thinks.” you say matter-a-factly, "he's like if you gave a big teddy bear explosives." The girls laugh.

"Yeah but he still has explosives. And he's so angry." Hagakure says making the other girls nod. "Not all the time, it's more like a front he puts up. Don't get me wrong he's still... grumpy just nicer. Plus he cares."

Mina clutched her chest dramatically. “I can’t believe it. Y/N, you tamed the beast!” "It wasn't very hard." You joke making the other girls chuckle, "does anyone know?" Uraraka asks expectantly.

"No, we were going to keep it a secret a while, per his request, but cats out of the bag now." Shrugging your shoulders you reach for a snack next to Momo. "I'm still supried." The girl says. Tsuyu tilts her head slightly, "looking back i think I can see it."

This makes the other girls think back to seeing you and him interact. Mina gasps, "How did we not see it sooner!" You laugh, covering your mouth still full with food. "Well suprise!"

It was normal at first, until the bright light went off

At first Izuku thought it was Bakugou setting off a particularly big explosion, the white of the blast blinding the cameras they were watching the fight from

But as it dimmed he realized it was focused around you, and as it went away he realized why your hero costume at first was so basic

It had completely transformed, you now adorned in a cute (favorite color) outfit, complete with bows and a small staff now in your hands

You seemed to move faster, even with the complicated outfit you were dodging your enemies left and right, sending out blasts from the staff you now carried

Izuku desperately wished he had his journal right now. How did your entire outfit change? And the increase in your stamina and dexterity?

You were keeping up very well with your opponents, dodging Bakugou's blasts left and right and moving faster than Iida could reach you

You were able to keep them long enough for the timer to run out, signaling your win against the hero team

As soon as you got back to the meeting room you were flocked by everyone, all of them aweing over your new costume and how your quirk worked

Another bright flash was sent out and you were back into your normal clothes, fatigue now visibly apparent on your face

Deku offered to take you to the infirmary to rest since his trial was already done

He tried really hard, but he couldn't stop himself from throwing question after question at you, wondering how your quirk worked, its drawbacks, and what all you could do

You were happy to answer all of his questions, bashful at the idea of someone so interested in your quirk

This blossomed your friendship, and little did you know how far your relationship would go

He didn't care if he got teased for the quickest knockout in today's class, the fact that you carried him back to the infirmary and waited for him to wake up is all he needed to see before he decided he loved you

If anyone makes fun of your quirk he's quick to defend you, threatening to fight whoever dares to be mean to you, even though he knows you can defend yourself

He will beg Momo to make a replica of it so you can wear it even while not activating your quirk

you both are power houses in a fight, and when you're partnered you are practically unstoppable

Imagine trying to block Kirishima while you're in the back shooting blast after blast of pure power

If anyone doubts you because of how your quirk looks he is the first to defend you, telling whoever is being mean to you that you are probably much stronger than most macho looking guys out there

If anyone's words ever get to you and you start doubting yourself he makes sure to shower you in reassurances, telling you that despite how girly someone may think your quirk looks you are a beast on the battlefield

He would ask you to help him train, to shoot blast after blast at him to help him increase the durability of his hardening

Tamaki first noticed you when you got second place in that year's sports festival, just behind Mirio

Mirio quickly became your friend, so of course you became good friends with Nejire and Tamaki too!

a/n: happy birthday boom boom boy. also, omg, a post that's not senku! hahahahhah ahahhah...

"you all are gathered here to... fight one another," aizawa announced to three sets of hero classes. "all section a hero courses will be required to at least spar or officially fight from at least two other students in the year not their own. section b will be having this activity another day. get to it."

you yawned into your open palm as you leaned against a giant snake, sitting on top of it with your legs over the other. the snake curled into a coil, making sure that you're comfortable on it. you watched with bored eyes at the gathered students either talking to one another, or already up and sparring against another.

this training center was built to hold numerous of these square platforms perfectly built for one-on-ones. it was purely dedicated for this hero course activity. each year the teachers always make it so that each hero course section were to battle it out with their section-adjacent. you've already done this twice: once when you were a first year, and then once more last year. this would be your last year to be in these mock battles.

it was fun at first, but now it's just boring to you. nothing was interesting enough to fight full on. you've beaten up all your classmates already; they already know how you've rose to the top. the second years all seem too scared of you already, after all, they've seen you duke it out already from last year. then you have the first years. the oh so popular first years.

you've watched the sports festival, wanting to see who was interesting to fight or had the potential purely for this hero course event. there were a few that caught your attention.

yaoyorozu momo. her quirk has great potential for a lot of these. a quirk like that, you have to be creative with it. she just needed confidence and less, like really less, hesitation. she should explore on all kinds of weapons. it's either there's a weapon for any situation, or a weapon can be used in any situation. rather than just a support hero, she could easily be in the front lines. heck, she could fill in any role.

denki kaminari. a good solid quirk, but a dumb user. what a shame. he should really learn some techniques and not just blast it all in one go, especially since it literally fries his brain if he uses too much of it. he needs to know that if he's out of it, he'll be easily taken advantage off. electricity is easily a killable natural element in the word. hope to see him improve.

ashido mina. same thing with kaminari, but less dumb. she could do a lot if she could learn more techniques. from the looks of it, she could be a dancer. she could literally integrate her dance body into her fighting.

uraraka ochaco. gravity is a powerful natural thing in the world. one could do a lot with it. it's good that the girl's headstrong; it's a good characteristic to have especially in this line of career. you give her props for lasting quite long against that explosion kid. her gravity can be used as a scare factor, a really good scare factor. who wouldn't be afraid of splatting onto the floor. she should learn hand-to-hand combat and stealth techniques too, especially since her quirk relies on physical contact and it's game over if the opponent knows how her quirk works so it's good to have some tricks up the sleeve.

then someone you really want to have a match with. bakugo katsuki. a good quirk, a good user, a smart user. it's perfect—! you can immediately tell the ambition this kid hold. he knows his quirk inside out. he knows how to use it in certain situations. his battle iq is really good too. though for someone who wants to be a hero, he's really not hero personality, but you don't care about that.

all you care is that he could really be a good match.

nejire approached you as you waited for katsuki to finish his current match. her demeanor being bubbly as usual. she was one of the few that weren't totally intimidated by you to not approach you at all.

"hello, l/n-san!" she greeted to which you nodded at. "is there anyone that piqued your interest this time around? i'm thinking that its one of the first years—you should've accepted the big three role! we got to fight them head-on, and they're really interesting! i think i could even guess someone totally your type!"

you chuckled at her childlike curiosity. "you're right about the first years. i did see some who are interesting, but i certainly already have my eyes on a certain one," you responded. "and you already know why i didn't accept the big three role."

she tilted her head at you, looking clueless. "actually, i don't. i think it was togata who you told about it."

"oh! that's my bad, and he didn't tell you guys why?" you asked to which she shook her head. "then... i didn't accept because the big three are the representatives of the school's hero course, and are essentially also the pillars for the younger students. i may be the best in the hero course, and i'll wear that badge proudly, but i don't really care about being a hero. meanwhile, the three of you actually want to be heroes, and go out and save all sorts of people and give hope to the people. i'm not kind, i'm not friendly, my image gives fear, not hope, and i certainly don't want to save people—which makes you guys much better representatives compared to me."

nejire let out a nervous chuckle. "right, that makes sense. you also said you would've been a villain if it had paid well. have i ever mentioned you're insane, l/n-san?"

you laughed at her blunt comment. "yes. yes, you have."

you turned your head to see katsuki finished with his match. a match that he won against one of the second years. your demeanor had changed—nejire noticed and to which she promptly backed away.

you stood up from your snake-seat. your heel clacked against the concrete floor as you did so. your classmates who know real well the sound of your heels, stiffened and turned to your direction. a lot of them were waiting for you since, so far, you were the only one who hasn't gone and asked someone for a fight (everyone else went up to you and who were you to turn down a fight).

you walked to where katsuki stood who's drinking from his bottle as your snake followed closely behind. "hey, katsuki," you called as you placed your palm on your hip. "let's fight~"

"who the fuck are you to call me that?!" he exclaimed, teeth baring out.

you hastily got up all on his face, peering down at him. you were at least two inches or so taller than him. "and who are you to address me like that? i'm your senior. a senior who's significantly better than you," you confidently stated.

his lips formed into a wide teeth-y smirk. "better give it your all then, snake."

a satisfied cheshire grin formed on your face.

an atmosphere of anticipation enveloped the students. they stared at the two infamous students who stood in front of one another. everyone seemingly hit pause on their matches to watch. it was already obvious on how different the match would go by their stances alone: one already ready and dawning the starting position, and the other only standing and seemingly bored, relaxed even.

they were infamous because of their personalities, but also famous because they were good. the most ambitious boy with his hard work to back up his skills, and the laziest girl with a natural knack for talent.

bakugo katsuki. quirk: explosion. a quirk from genetics in combination of his parents'. the sweat from his palms excrete nitroglycerin, and he is able to ignite it at will to create explosions of various sizes. one of the top students amongst the hero course first years.

l/n y/n. quirk: medusa. an incredibly rare quirk, not from genetics, but from the tale old as time of the greek legends. anyone who makes eye contact with her will turn into stone, and with her blood, she can create snakes. the top hero course student.

this would be one hell of a match.

katsuki lunged forward with a right hook. you lowered your body into a splits, dodging the blow. you placed your forearms flat against the floor, positioned your legs into a scorpio and kicked his stomach. using your momentum, you pushed yourself with your palm against the floor and with your kick, flipping yourself onto his stomach trapping him between your legs.

his head slammed against the floor as you opened your eyes. bakugo have seen your previous matches. he knew you would always try to petrify your opponent, and he won't fall for it. he shot his hand up to your face, punching your nose. you recoiled in pain, throwing your head back as your hands clutched the bleeding nose. he then shot up his other hand, garnering up a big explosion that pushed you away.

you extended both arms up with your palms against the floor, and backflipped onto your heels and continued until your momentum stopped. you licked your upper lips stained with blood from your nose, then wiped it using your thumb.

"hmm, might actually get serious now," you commented from across the arena which only angered katsuki.

"take this shit seriously, snakes!" he practically roared at you as he lunged forward with explosions pushing him from the back.

you shook the blood from your thumb onto the floor as you lunged forward as well. the moment the blood splattered onto the floor, it grew out snakes of various kinds and sizes. they, too, lunged towards the flying blondie.

"wow..." mina muttered as she watched with slightly furrowed brows at the match between her classmate and a senior that everyone know all too well. "is that... her?"

"yes, that's her," momo confirmed. "the top hero course student, l/n y/n."

"well, she's not famous for nothing," jirou commented. "can't believe i'm seeing this. they're practically dancing!"

katsuki kept up his defense while you kept up with the offense. your snakes being killed off by him, and dispersing into black dust while using his explosions to keep you away from arms length. you flipped all around him, using your legs and heels to prod and hit at him. both displaying such speed and focus. it was a battle of endurance at this point.

"hey, is her eyes closed?" kaminari pointed out. "is she... playing with bakugo or something?"

"no, l/n-san has to keep her eyes closed," mirio walked up to the curios first years. "because of how her quirk works, if she makes eye contact with anyone, it'll petrify them."

midoriya, of course, was quick to get his answers from mirio. "tell me everything you know! ...please."

mirio chuckled at midoriya. "well, everyone already knows that she can petrify and makes snakes, but most don't know that the petrification can't be turned off which is why she has to keep her eyes closed, and also that she can use the snakes she creates as her vision."

midoriya eats this all up and starts muttering.

"that explains why there are snakes all over the the place," momo mentioned as she pointed to one above. "her technique is impressive. she knows how to fully utilize her snakes. from the looks of it, each snake in the venue is purposely positioned to cover every angle."

mirio laughs. "yes! l/n-san actually got snakes all over the campus. she's crazy like that."

from all the dodging, katsuki built up a lot of sweat to which he used to continuously shot out explosions at you. all the smoke and bright lights made it hard for you to have vision on yourself from the stationed snakes around the gym. it was a good thing you always had a snake on your person at all times (hidden; this time as your hair tie).

katsuki knew it will be hard for you to see yourself inside the bundle of smoke he made from his explosions, but he also knew that it forced you to open your eyes. it was a double-edged sword tactic, but with the rate the fight was going, it had to be done. from his sudden explosions back-to-back, he managed to push you where he wanted you to be.

your back facing right in front of him.

he moved fast, taking this chance to aim for your head with an overhand, an explosion about to blow from his palms. you turned around and quickly placed your palm against his. wide horrified red eyes meet your forming cheshire grin. the explosion messily went through your palm. the momentum pushing your hand back. you let out a shriek as you shot your other hand to cover your holed palm.

everyone heard your scream of pain, but it was quickly forgotten as your loud laughter echoed afterwards. it was a laugh that meant you were having fun. too much fun. the smoke slowly cleared revealing you continuously dodging katsuki's explosions as blood dripped from your hands. snakes appear from the ground as they continued to go after the blonde who kept killing them off. It was another cycle, but this time you were on the defense while he was on the offense.

"how does it feel blowing someone's hand, katsuki?!" you managed to yell. a manic wide cheshire grin on your face. "let's keep playing!"

"you're fucking insane, ya' damn medusa!"

at the call of your origins, your demeanor had changed almost immediately. you pivoted on your heel and shot straight towards katsuki, halting the spawning of the snakes. you kept up with continuous punches, swipes, and jabs which left him with splotches of blood in several places. your sudden burst of energy and even harder attacks caught katsuki off guard as he tried his best not to catch your wide eyes.

it also doesn't help that every time katsuki tried to let out an explosion, you'd boldly cover his palm with your own making him hesitate in letting one out. after what happened a while ago, he hesitated this time—was it guilt? or was it the shock from seeing the sized hole on your palm. this left him with nothing, but physical combat which is easier said than done! he couldn't fucking keep up with you! barely being able to dodge and block your back-to-back blows. holy fuck, were you not giving your everything a while ago?!

everything happened so fast.

the two of you end up facing the other. your palms against his in a tight grip. all in a quick second, you forcefully spun him upside down using his hands alone, let him go, spun on your toes, then used your left leg to kick his open right side with your heel. he flew off into a wall, outside of the boundary. the kick was strong enough to leave a gigantic crater with a bakugo-sized hole in it.

it was silent for a moment.

"interesting battle, you two. winner is y/n," announced aizawa, breaking the silence, with his usual monotone voice, but an underlying hint of amusement was also heard. "good choice on not relying on your quirk anymore, and resorting to a physical match. bakugo, i can see why you hesitated there and that was okay since this is only a spar, but just know that hesitation can get you killed in an actual scenario. y/n..." he sighed out loud to which you only turned to him with an "innocent" smile.

"...refrain from traumatizing your juniors by using their quirks to destroy your body effectively. get yourselves to recovery girl. you both are done for this activity."

katsuki flopped to the floor shortly in the middle of Aizawa's comments, banging his fist onto the floor. he let out a muffled scream the entirety of it.

"that was fun, bakugo," you tell him, standing in front of him now. your eyes now closed once again. "let's flirt on the battlefield again some day." you waved your fingers down towards him, then walked away. looking completely fine, as if there wasn't a damn hole through your palm.

bakugo sat, cross-legged, on a nearby bench (forcefully benched by aizawa after he got back from recovery girl). he was quiet. his mind wasn't as usual, but it wasn't the usual thoughts he'd have. his inward rage towards everything, and the toxic motivation he'd given himself from time to time. no. this time it was about... you.

you humiliated him.

you... you destroyed him—!

you got him hesitating. he never hesitated! seeing that hole in your palm... it makes him mad. you acted like it did nothing to you! you were okay! how could you be fucking okay with a damn hole through your palm?!

he stared at his hands. his trembling hands.

and yet... he never felt so... so excited.

he can hear and feel the loud heavy thumping of his heart against his ribs. his lips uncontrollably forming into a loopy grin. you were powerful—strong! and you knew that. your the top student for a reason. you oozed with self-confidence that could even rival him (though he knew better than to compare to his act).

he placed his elbow on one knee while placing his other hand on his other knee. he laid his chin on his open palm, hiding his slightly red tinged face.

this is the first time someone ever caught his eye. he isn't stupid. he's a hormonal teenage boy! he knows what normal teenagers would get themselves into nowadays, but he wasn't normal. he never cared about those shitty things—everyone was a weak extra to him. but you... you weren't weak nor an extra. you were someone he needed to beat.

his eyes turned to where you stood, well, sat. you were back on your gigantic snake, looking the same like you did before your match with him. his eyes met with your face turned towards him. a soft hiss was heard nearby. he looked to see a snake approaching his arm. he let the snake curl around his arm as he leaned back. his eyes met back with your now teasing smile as you raised the hand he put a hole through up and waved. where the hole was now has an obvious scar.

fuck, you were good.

fuck, what is wrong with him?!

"consider yourself lucky, bakugo." mirio walked up to the benched bakugo. "i heard that she called you by your last name. that means you gained her respect. she might approach you herself to fight again."

a smirk formed on his lips as he stood up from the bench. the snake quickly curled up his biceps and curled around his neck. it didn't bother him. it only made his heart feel like its about to explode. bakugo stomped towards your direction.

"snakes!"

you turned with a knowing smirk. "what is it, bakugo?"

"i'll fucking beat you!" a determined look on his face as he pointed at you. a declaration that made you genuinely smile, teeth and all.

"better hurry up then~! i'll be graduating soon," you teased.

the two of you continued to bicker, oblivious to the outside audience. in your own world, the two of you were. and if you noticed how close bakugo gotten to you, you didn't mind.

All mussed hair and tear streaks that make Uraraka want to caress her cheeks and wipe them with her thumb, to make it all better for Himiko. She just doesn’t know how. 

🛸 It becomes a regular occurrence. They don’t talk, barely even look at each other in the light of the moon. Ochako does what she does best. Opens her arms for Himiko to come curl into. Pink padded fingertips curling through blonde hair as the other sniffles silently. 

🔪 It seemed to be something that always happened at night. Himiko leaves like the wind when Uraraka wakes up for school. The brunette finds herself missing the blonde, wanting to cook and make sure she’s well fed and taken care of.

🔪 And when Toga finally does come climbing through her window, she’s ready. Soft lighting to mitigate her room's harsh LED’s. She’s sitting on her knees, leaning against the wall on the plush support of a pillow. She sees the moment the other girl panics, searching for her on the bed with frantic movements. Before Himiko can spiral anymore, Uraraka softly grabs her by the hand. Helps her slide onto the floor and into her arms. She doesn’t want to be too forward with it, but has no other way of coaxing the other girl into staying with her through the day. 

🛸 They wear matching bracelets, threaded and able to be tightened or loosened. if they were beaded, it’d probably have a pet name on it. Ochako would call Toga some shortened rendition of her first name, most likely Himi since the blonde wouldn’t like to be called by her family name. Himi doesn’t usually talk very much but when she does its usually to call Ochako by a shortened version of her name- Ocha. Softly whispered and shy. 

🔪 When they get comfortable, they snuggle up to each other. Himi likes to watch reruns of old shows–Care Bears, Hello Kitty–and sometimes scary movies with lots of blood like Scream or Halloween. Ocha likes to play video games on a portable console–sometimes Stardew Valley or Pokemon Scarlet/Violet. On the very frequent chances they want to watch a movie together, they’ll sit down with popcorn and gummies and stay up all night. They like to rant too each other about horror’s/slashers. Himi will think the blood is unrealistic and Ocha will think it was the perfect balance of adrenaline and gore. 

🛸 Both are creative- Himi likes to make bracelets and drawings that she’ll hang up on their wall. Ocha will make drawings and occasionally more intricate pieces like wind chimes or dioramas of space. 

🔪 Ocha will infodump about the solar system too Himi, ranting and raving about the new stars and planets NASA finds every day, how far away they are, whether or not they’re habitable. Himi will listen, thinking about taking Ocha far far away from here, into space, visiting all those planets no matter how far away they are because she loves her. 

🛸 Himi goes through teethers weekly, they don’t even have to be cold for her too gnaw right through them- eventually Ocha introduces the concept of chewlery and when they arrive on her front porch she can’t wait to show her girl- “Look Himi! Try biting through these!” to which she does, and when she finds she can't she is overly delighted. 

🔪 Both enjoy dressing in decora/pink, but occasionally both will take the tomboy route. Shorts that fall to their knees and shirts that have cool graphic designs (because for some reason only the boys section of the store has the cool tees.) They’ll go to the park late at night and take turns pushing each other on the swings. Tumbling down the slides with loud laughs and climbing on the monkey bars with not a care in the world. Ocha is abnormally good at climbing everything and Himi mainly favors the seesaw.
